there is something so beautiful and serene about classic studio portraits. as much as i love doing outdoor, on-location, themed, and styled portraits i jump at the opportunity to photograph a classic session. simple. elegant. focused. there are no distractions. just mother and son. just tender touches. tickles. cheeky grins and big blue eyes.

i photographed jessica’s maternity session two summers ago and was thrilled when she contacted me for portraits of her and her toddler. here are a handful of my favourites portraits.
